Data protection

Understand how your code, personal data, and project information is protected when using Mind.

Mind adheres to rigorous security standards. We are responsible for protecting the infrastructure that runs the Mind platform, while you maintain control over your content and project assets.

Data storage

Mind stores session questions, responses, and contextual code snippets strictly to fulfill developer queries and maintain session history. Enterprise subscriptions benefit from Zero Data Retention (ZDR) options and dedicated tenant isolation.

Data encryption

Encryption in transit

All client-server communications use TLS 1.3 with forward-secrecy cipher suites.

Encryption at rest

Stored data and session checkpoints are encrypted with AES-256 keys.

Service improvement

Mind does not train foundation AI models on customer source code or confidential enterprise prompts. Individual users may optionally contribute anonymised error and telemetry data, with full opt-out capabilities.

Opt out of data sharing

  • IDE: Settings > Privacy > Telemetry (Toggle off)
  • CLI: Preferences > Telemetry (Toggle off)
  • Web: Account Settings > Data Controls (Toggle off)
